We are in a difficult position in not being able to comment on this matter for a number of reasons. Given the restrictions upon us. I don't believe we will be able to assist with your book project to the extent you desire. Please give me a ring when you have a moment and we can discuss. Best, Dean Boyd From: Meier, Barry Sent: Friday, February 21, 2014 4:23 PM To: Subject: Book project Dean, Hi. I hope this note finds you well. I'm the reporter here at the Times that's been following the Robert Levinson saga. I am writing because I recently reached an agreement with Farrar, Straus & Giroux to write a book about it. As you know, I am not a national security reporter (actually, I usually cover drugs, medical devices, etc.) That said, I was hoping to make a visit to the CIA soon so I can describe the building, setting with some accuracy. I'd also like to get a generic understanding of some procedural issues that I'll have to address in the book. Would this be possible? Thanks for the consideration.
