I am in receipt of your August 5, 2015, correspondence in relation to my FOIA request F-2015-01811.
Pursuant to your letter, please modify the scope of my FOIA request so as to appliacable to following
CIA positions:
� Director;
� Deputy Director;
� Executive Director;
� and Chief of Staff to the Director of the CIA.
My request applies to any and all individuals that held any of the aforementioned positions
during the time period of my request, but only during the time period each individual held said
position. If any of the above stated positions were vacant during any period within the
timeframe of my request, the acting individual shall be deemed to be within the scope of my
request.
I would like to highlight the fact that it took 49 business days (70 days total) for your agency to send
an acknowledgment. While I understand that numerous federal agencies face significant FOIA
request backlogs, the failure to provide even an acknowledgment for such a lengthy period is highly
irregular. As such, should you have questions or seek any additional clarifications, I would ask that
you please contact me via email or telephone.
