By letter dated 14 August 1975 the Civil Rights Division, DOJ, informed
this Office that they had requested the FBI to conduct interviews of certain
present and former CIA employees. You have previously advised me that
these requested interviews will be conducted under your direction.
Pursuant to our dipcussions concerning this matter, I am enclosing
herewith the addresses and telephone numbers of former employees who
appear on the list of persons you wish to interview. Should you have any

Project SIESTA
1. In response'Ao your memorandum dated 22 August
1975, the Office of Security has taken steps to notify all
current and retired 'employees of the Office whose names are
on the Department of Justice list that they will be inter-
viewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning
Project SIESTA. Tey are being told that those interviews
are part of an investigation being conducted by the Civil
Rights Division of the Department of Justice. They are
also bein advised that the Director of Central intelligence
is preparing a letter to the Department of Justice which.
'mill state that the conduct of the listed individuals con-
cerning Project SIESTA was in the course of Agency activity
directed by. their superiors. Addition:1,11y, they are being
advised that they may consult with the Office of General
Counsel if "they have any questions concerning their past
performance of official duties.
2. .Attached hereto is a list which gives the date
of retirerent, status of retireent (overt or covert) and
current addrs those, Office of Security personnel on
the Departeu,t of Justice list who have retired.
