2. As of 0030 on 12 September 2012, the fighting at the U.S.
Consulate In Benghazi, Libya, had ceased and all U.S. personnel had
been evacuated with the exception of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya who
remained unaccounted for. A crowd of approximately 100 people had
gathered outside a separate U.S. facility in Benghazi and was firing
on the facility. (A CIA officer; U.S. Embassy officials.)
3. As of 0020, the Libyan army had deployed to Benghazi and
were engaged in clashes with the armed groups
4. As of 0005 on 12 September, there was a crowd approaching
the separate U.S. facility in Benghazi. The U.S. Ambassador to Libya
remained unaccounted for and U.S. personnel were making efforts to
