We are looking forward to having you with us on
Thursday. May 11, when we have our meeting of the }a and
of Consultants in Princeton.
1Ne will meet for dinner at the Nassau Inn a few
minutes after seven o'clock. It is entirely informal and
generally devoted to a discussion of one or more of the
difficult international problems of the day. Everyone talks
and we would appreciate a word or two at any time d-uring
the evening that you may wish. There are no speeches.
I attach a list of the members of the group which
is confidential. I expect that a good majority will be present
on Thursday.

This is to confirm that your name was presented in
nomination to the University's Board of Trustees at its most
recent meeting for a position on the Board as a Charter .Trustee.
I can also report that the Board received this nomination
enthusiastically and unanimously.
The procedure now is that your name must rest in
..nomination until the next meeting ,of the Board of Trustees,
at which time a final vote must be .taken. The next meeting
will be Monday, June 12, and,I have full confidence that the
.Board.will again act affirmatively. In the meantime; I must
