MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Trip to LTV Electrosystems, Greenville, Texas
7 Dec - 8 Dec 1966
1. On December 7, I went to LTV to observe the pro-
gress of the modificatipn of the SP-211 Multisensor System
and finish off the test schedule with Dave Lane and Chuck
Michelsen.
2. I brought back a somewhat optimistic project test
schedule of what LTV plans to do on CHIGOE from now until
the end of January. The schedule has already slipped a
week since I was down at LTV. The reason for the slippage
is Litton's inability to solve a voltage sensitivity pro-
blem in their LN-15 inertial platform. Without the LN-15
no integrated navigation flight tests can be performed.
3. I discussed with Cliff Slagle the addition of a
data annotation block on the D-5 camera. The only camera
that now has a data block on the film is the KA-53 which
is primarily a day time camera. Seeing that many of our
missions will be at night, I believe it will be advanta-
geous to have a data block on the D-5 or D-10 if we use
it.
4. The main problems confronting CHIGOE at this time
are the LN-15 and the unresolved problem of Dalmo-Victor's
LLLTV.
