(U/81=7 The National Security Archive seeks records concerning "the 28 June 1976 kidnapping of Elena
Quinteros from the gardens of the Venezuelan Embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay. Ms. Quinteros ran to the embassy
grounds seeking asylum and was immediately recaptured by Uruguayan security forces. Quinteros was never seen
again."

-- and (b)(3) -- which involves the DCI's statutory obligation to protect sources and methods.
(UHATIIC) CIA Declassification Center
(U8A5013) CDC Continues Search for 25-Year-Old Material
(U//A4&) Representatives from the CIA Declassification Center (CDC) found an estimated 300,000 pages of
25-year-old classified material that contain CIA equities at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in
California. The representatives were on the West Coast during the week of 24-28 June 2002, looking for
25-year-old or older classified material that is subject to the Automatic Declassification provisions of EO 12958.
The group found only minor quantities of material at the other California sites, which included the Department of
Energy's Special Technologies Laboratory in Santa Barbara, the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, the
Federal Records Center in San Bruno, and the Hoover Institution in Palo Alto.
