On 20 July 2010 we received your facsimile requesting information on you. Your
request for proof of U.S. citizenship falls outside the purview of this Agency. Please refer
to page two, paragraph three, of the 7 July 2010 letter from the U.S. State Department
suggesting you contact the Department of Homeland Security to obtain a Certificate of
Citizenship.
For your information, the mission of the Central Intelligence Agency is primarily
concerned with foreign intelligence, not domestic, matters. Section 103 (d)(1) of the
National Security Act, as amended, specifically provides that "the Agency shall have no
police, subpoena, law-enforcement powers, or internal security functions."
For the reasons stated above, we are unable to process your request.
