On 27 July 2010 we received your letter dated 16 July 2010 requesting information
on you. Your request for information on "bonds and bonding" falls outside the purview of
this Agency. You should contact the state or county in which you were born for your birth
certificate and the General Services Administration for the forms you are seeking.
For your information, the mission of the Central Intelligence Agency is primarily
concerned with foreign intelligence, not domestic, matters. Section 103 (d)(1) of the
National Security Act, as amended, specifically provides that "the Agency shall have no
police, subpoena, law-enforcement powers, or internal security functions."
For the reasons stated above, we can not accept your request.
