Dear Coordinator:
p..07669-6609
Under the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.0 subsection 552, I am
requesting all documents on Tad Szulc, a former New York Times
correspondent [who died May 21, 2001], and Amtrunk, a CIA operation
against Cuba with which he was linked in the early 1960s,
My name is Don Bohning, author in 2005 of The Castro Obsession: US
Covert Operations Against Cuba, 1959-1965, published in 2005 by Potomac
Books, Dulles, Va.
I am requesting this information for use in a subsequent book project
which attempts to clear up much of the erroneous information to be found on
the internet and elsewhere, particularly surrounding Cuban operations in that
period as they relate to the JFK assassination.
If there are any ties for searching for, reviewing, or copying records please
let me know before you task my request, or please supply the records
without informing me of the cost if the fees do not exceed $50, which I
agree to pay.
If you deny all or any part of this request, please cite each specific
exemption you think justifies your refusal to release the information and
notify me of appeal procedures under the law.
If you have any questions about handling this request, you me telephone
