After the shooting down of the Swedish aircraft by Soviet fighters, protest
demonstrations against the alleged Swedish border violation were organized at
the Lepaya navy yard. During the demonstrations it was declared that every
aircraft which violates Soviet boundaries will be treated in similar fashion.
There were no such demonstrations following the shooting down of the American
aircraft in 1951 (sic).
