1. On November 20, 1954, a cargo of eight barrels of antimony was loaded on
board the LOCH RYAN at Warehouse 75 in Hamburg harbor. The shipment was
destined for San Francisco, California.
2. The eight barrels of antimony had arrived in Hamburg on 5 November 1954 from
Czechoslovakia, on board the freighter LUDNILA of the Oseohoslovak Elbe-Oder
Navigation National Enterprise and were stored in Warehouse 14, which is
controlled by this company. After that, the firm of Eberhard Clemens in
� Hamburg, which is oontrolled by and acts as agent for, the Estrum *torpor-
*Um of Prague instructomilkrehouse 41 to remove from the barrels all
labels indicating Csedhoslovakia as the Gauntry of origin of the merchandise,
and to substitute labels bearing"thdoiliscitien P Nate in 313411a".
3. In the past there have been repeated instances wiere labels denoting Clecho-
slovak origin have been removed from barrels of antimony, but this is the
first time that there has been a deliberate falsification of origin Wf the
affixing of false labels.
