TO REPORT NO. 2 (b)(1) (b)(3) (b)(1) (b)(3) (b)(1) (b)(3) 1953 (b)(1) (b)(3) "The following Polish ships were observed in the port of Hamburg between mid- August and late September 1953: (0- m PIIIak (480 BRT) arrived on 19 August with a cat-go of 621 tons of sugar and timber, which was all unloaded at Hamburg. On 26 August she brought a full cargo of sugar (600 tons). She had loaded the sugar at Szczecin. On 7 September mis P/LICA arrived at Hamburg again with a full cargo of paper. One hundred and sixty tons were unloaded. With the remainder (400 tons) she pro- ceeded to Rotterdam. (0- a s LUBLIN arrived from Gdynia on 31 August and unloaded her entire cargo oftons of sugar. 0- ;hi HEL (1066 BRT) arrived from Gdansk on 7 September and off-loaded 55 tons o piece goods (glass, leather hides, textiles). She carried 800 tons of corn for Antwerp. Previously s/s-HEL had been at Hamburg on 22 August to unload 600 tons of sugar. She had proceeded to Antwerp with the remainder of her cargo: 400 tons of piece goods. 0- s/s Gliwice arrived at Hamburg on 25 August and unloaded 2,000 tons of sugar. (0- mis MBA arrived on 25 August with a cargo of 350 tons of newsprint. She unloaded 100 tons and proceeded to Bremen, where the remaining 250 tons were unloaded two days later. The ship then returned, in ballast to Szczecin. , 0- m/s DUNAJFC (650 MIT) made her first visit to Hamburg on 28 August from Szczecin and unloaded 400 tons of sugar. She then proceeded to London with the remaining cargo: 200 tons of chocolates and sweets. mis MAZURY arrived at Hamburg from Gdynia on 21 August and unloaded 995 tons of sugar. Two days later she left for Antwerp in ballast and returned to Gdynia7on 30 August. On 12 September she arrived in Hamburg again and un- loaded 350 tons of e. the also carried piece goods�,tobacco and chemicals. She loaded 600 tons of iron girders. Her previous visit was on August 15 when she unloaded a full cargo: (1,009 tons) of sugar. "To supplement our previous reports on the movement of Polish ships in Hamburg Harbour, we add the following: 2. "S/S LUBLIN On 17 August 53, she arrived from Gdynia with 1008 tons of sugar which was all un- loaded in Hanburg. On 18 August she left for Rotterdam in ballast, probably to take on cargo there. "S/S SLASK (a) When this ship visited Hamburg 23 April 53, she arrived from Rotterdam and dock- ed at the Czech wharf. She unloaded her entire cargo, which consisted of elec- tric lamps, cocoa, iron and leather (950 tons in all - the ship's capacity is 1402 BRT). She took on board 290 tons of cargo, made up of machines, pipes, wool and shellac, and sailed for Gdynia. (b) The SLASK arrived in Hamburg from Gdynia on 14 September 53. She tied up at the Czech wharf and unloaded 23 tons of egg powder, five tons of bristles and 40 tons of paper. She had on board a cargo of 1260 tons of grain destined for Antwerp. It. "M/S WARMIA On 18 July 53, she arrived from Gdynia with a cargo of 607 tons of eggs. Sixty crates were unloaded.
