1. The route from Sinkiang Province to Pakistan via Gilgit has been closed by(b)(1)

order of the Sinkiang Provincial Government. The reason for the closure Mk`-')
was reported to be the "recent" arrival in P'uli (Tash Kurdian. - 75-3.4137-4()
of "many Russian troops."
2. The routes from Sinkiang Province to A.ashmir via larakoram Pass and Leh are
still open.
