MEMORANDUM FOR MA.
5 May 1949
EAS/OFC
SUBJECT: Assessment of Applicants for OFC Training Staff
1. It is considered essential to a joint OSO/OFC
training program that persons being considered for employment
on the training staffs of either office be given the same
type of sdreening and assessment, with final decision, of
course, resting with the office of employment.
2. OSO applicants are presently assessed by TRS/OSO
by means of a series of intelligence tests and an interview
with Dr. William J. Morgan based on the results of the tests.
This program occupies a day or a day and a half, and has
proved invaluable in ascertaining the abilities and
possibilities of applicants.
3. It is understood that TRVOSO is willing to give
CPC candidates similar treatment in view of the fact that
if employed they will be instructing and servicing CSC
students. It is suggested, therefore, that ADPC request
ADSO that when feasible OPCcandidates be assessed by TRS/080.
