I have for response your letter of 5 June 1974 to the Director
concerning the declassification of certain CIA-related materials and
documents, now in your possession.

I mentioned in my letter of 9 April 1974 that we were proceeding
with our review of these materials. That review should be completed
by 30 June 1974. We still do not possess transcripts of related testimony
which conceivably also contains classified material, e. g. , those of
Messrs. Bennett, Mullen, Martinez, Hunt, and General Cushman, but
we are prepared to review them if you wish to make copies available.
As indicated in our previous correspondence, we intend to
report the results of our review to the Chairmen of our Subcommittees
of the Senate Armed Services and Appropriations Committees for such
disposition as they feel appropriate.
