SUBJECT: Watergate -- Meeting with Special Prosecutor --
"Coherent Spectrum Shaper"
�At a meeting this afternoon with Special Prosecutor Leon
Jaworski, his deputy, Henry Ruth, and Phil Lacova.ra., a counsel
on the staff, Mr. Jaworski wanted the Agency to know that Seymour
Hersh has asked a number of people on the staff about the use of
the "Coherent Spectrum Shaper" to examine tapes. Mr. Jaworski
said his standard policy for handling inquiries from Hersh and
other similar media types was "no comment. "
