Dear Leon:
Many thanks for your letter of May 1st.
Strangely enough despite every effort. 1 do
not have the text of Ks speech and I am frankly
beginning to wonder whether any text was ever
circulated. The Jugs claim to have something,
but 1 am not sure quite what.
1 have made a few speeches recently
probably too many and 1 am sending them to
you under separate cover.
Sincerely,
Ur. Leon Moore

Dear Allen,
As I sent you a copy of my letter to Henry Luce
about the Orlov article, you may be armased to read
Mr. Luce is answer, copy of which I enclose.
Louis Fisher confidentially showed me extracts from
the secret Khrashchev speech to the Pal to> Congress about
Stalin. It was incomplete and did not give the full
picture. According to Fisher, this text came to the
United States through the Yugoslav Communist Party..
I am most anxious to read the full text of the speech
which may be very helpful for my analytical work and I
shall be very grateful to you if I could have a copy of it
in case you have one.
Best regards.

Sincere y yours,

Dear Mr. Moore:
April 26, 1956
Immediately upon receipt of your letter I have sent it back
across the ocean to my principal assistant, Mr. C. D. Jackson, and
have asked him to get in touch with you as soon as possible.
Your criticism of the Orlov story seems most convincing_ and is
therefore distressing. Naturally I hope that somehow or other you
may be mistaken in this case. On the other hand if we have been mis-
led we must try to correct the record -- and more than that to bring
to light the full and true story of the whole dirty Russian business.
I regret that I did not manage to have a serious talk with you
before I left the U.S. a few weeks ago. I look forward to having this
talk the end of May. Meanwhile, I do hope you will be as helpful as
you can to Mr. Jackson.
With all regards,
Since y yours,
/s/c1HENRY R. LUCE
