Requests such as yours are considered under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Specifically, you have requested: the identities of, and contact information for, the current directors of CIA's Centers for Counterterrorism, Nonproliferation, and Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation and Arms Control. For identification purposes your request has been assigned the number referenced above. After careful consideration, we have determined that the information you are asking for must be denied to you, since it is properly classified under the provisions of Executive Order 12958. Information of this nature, i.e. "the organization, functions, names, official titles, salaries, or numbers of personnel employed by the Agency," is specifically and statutorily exempt from disclosure in accordance with Section 6 of the CIA Act of 1949. Exemptions (b)(1) and (b)(3) of the FOIA apply. An explanation of these exemptions is enclosed.
