The purpose of this subproject is to. provide funds tor
the continuation of a study of potential psychopharmacological
agents. In particular, studies will be directed to the elucidation
of interrelationships between molecular constitution and biological
response. Studies will be conducted into the biochemical charac-
teristics of certain types of Chemical moieties which are of in-
terest-to TSDnin. carrying out its program on the development of
means to control HumEtn Behavior.
2. The attached, Budget indicates the extent of the investi-
gations that will be carried out under the direction of

originally planned to cover a period of approximately five years

considerably. The investigation has therefore agreed to pro-
duce as many actual end-item compounds as possible during the
next year and also to consider this as the final year of the
project. For this reason the attached budget had been scaledi

down from the original estimate of $29,578.00 to $21,080.00.
The lower figure reflects mostly lowered personnel costs
occasioned by the simpler developmental activities now planned.
