SUBJECT: MKULTRA, Subproject 10B
DRAFTIME
29 August 1956
1. The purpose for the initiation of Subproject 10B -is toi
continue the research program of for an additional
year, starting 4.5 September 1956. - slovnaor expects' to
complete his-reseirckeffort sponsored through the Gee cbickter Fund,
no later:than 14 September 1957. .It is understood that-the.. .
Gesdhickter Fund, at the sponsor's direction, will'xithdraw.its
support no later than 15 September 1957.
2. The scope of the proposed program will entail a critical
analysis of all subject data with the goal of being better able to
define the differences in certain effects of LSD. For a more detailed.
description see attached proposal.
3. The cost of this program is estimated to be $5500 for a
period of one year. TO this must be added a 4% service charge to
Geschickter Fund. Therefore the total cost will not exceed $5720.00.
Charges should be made against Allotment 7-2502-10-001.
4. Upon conclusion of the program the principal investigator
will submit an informal statement of expenditures of monies advanced
for, research activities. It has been requested that the statement be
submitted in essentially the following form:
a) Personal Compensation (Salaries)(Subject Fees)
Eqpipment
a Supplies and Services
d Travel
e) Overhead
(f) Contingencies
Also, the Geschickter hand has requested
to submit to them a 'Summary accounting of monies receive4 from the
Fund.. They requested the return of any unexpended funds received
under a grant from the Fund.
5. Title to any permanent equipment purchased bytundS granted
the Hospital will be retained by the Hospital in lieu of higher
overhead rates. .

6.. It was mutually agreed that documentation and accounting
for travel expenses which are reimbursable by the Hospital will
conform with the accepted Practices of that institOilon..
7. It was also agreed that technical reports reflecting the
progress of the research program will be submitted at mutnelly
acceptable intervals.
8. WOMM cleared through TOP SECRET and is avare of the
true nature of the project.
