PENDRANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Project MKULTRA, Subproject 22
1. Subproject 22 is a continuation of Subproject 1 which
had as its scope preliminary work on the isolation and characteri-
zation of the alkaloids of Impomea sidafolia Choisy (Rivea corym llosa)
in order to determine their activities as agents affecting the central
nervous system.
2. The results of the preliminary study are such that a full
program of research on this material is desirable..1111111111,1111111
illilltwho conducted the preliminary work, has submitted the attached
proposal to carry out this work as outlined by ISMS.
3. The Geschickter Fund for Medical Research, Inc., will serve
as cut-out for transfer of funds to the investigator. The estimated
cost of the work according to the proposal is $7,700.00 for one year.
To this must be added 4% service charge for the Geschickter Fund amount-
ing to $308.00. The total cost of this investigation for a period of
one year, therefore, will not exceed $8,008.00.

is fully capable of protecting the Government's interest in this pro-
ject. �
