Apparently the cost of preparing this notice was handled � by Welfare of Refugee Center. * Wel fz.re. Subject: Further questioning by FBI on bombing of Car of Dr. Mire's secretary.- 1. At my LeetIng with Dr. Eirofs secretary 5 December she informed me that when she arrived home 4 December after he meeting with m she found that two FBI agents were ,at her home questioning her mother who lives with her. She added that they also have another Cuban refugee in their home with them at the prevnt toe, a woman who is an old ac- quaintance. 2. There folluwed further questioning of Nena(nickname of the secretary), details about how she is renting the car now being used and how peying this rent, name in which carried, etc. This de- veloped into some questions about her checking account and the funds she handled. She explained and showed her two check books, one for her own personal account in the name of A.C. Perez, tne other for the account of the Office or Dr. Jiro, from which she peys office expenses, including the rental of the present rented car. Lena said she had talked with Dr. Miro by telephone subsequent to this questioning, and when she mentioned it and the questions about funds she handled, he told her that they had no business inquiring into this matter, and that she should inform Juanita of this and be guided by his instructions. 3. I told her that there seemed no reason why the FBI agents should nave any need to delve into this matter of funds and that she should politely tell them, if they tried to pry further into this sub- ject of office funds, th,t this is a inah4ect matter which she cannot discuss with them and something for them to talk to Dr. Miro about., Inasmuch as she merely hare:les peyment for office exhenees as his secre- tery. She said they had also looked thru her apartment aed had queried her about how she got dressed so quickly and got back to the place where her car was perked in front of the Miro residence. She explained this as easy. 4. Rena told tne agent that she had agreed to the lie detector test but that personally sne was indignant about taking it and only agreee thru a desire to help clear up this maAer. She told me that Boza is also Indignant. o said Dr. tiiro as a lawyer is opposed to lie detector tests but counseled both of them to submit as this is one of the procedures in this country and they must as :1st in the investiga- tion. 5.
