Suite 500 Washington, D.C. 20036 Reference: F90-1590 Dear Mr. Mokoena: This is to acknowledge receipt of your 13 December 1990 letter pertaining to your 30 September 1987 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for records pertaining to the following: "(a) the Soviet Union and Cuban intervention in Angola from 1974 to date;" "(b) the United States government activities and response to Soviet and Cuban intervention in Angola from 1974 to date;" and "(c) the South African government intervention in Angola from 1974 to date." Based upon the additional information provided in your 13 December letter, we have determined that you are eligible for categorization as "representative of the news media." You have also agreed to pay copying costs associated with this request. Accordingly, we have accepted your request which will be processed in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 552, as amended, and the CIA Information Act, 50 U.S.C. 431.
