1. Subject has been identified as an individual who
was at one time of interest to the Agency.in connection
with the Office of Security's Project ARTICHOKE/BLUEBIRD.
A number of the individuals who were of interest to Project
ARTICHOKE/BLUEBIRD subsequently were of interest in
connection with the Directorate of Operations Project
MKULTRA. 21
2. The Office of General Counsel has requested that
all files connected with MKULTRA and/or Project ARTICHOKE/
BLUEBIRD be retained until such time as all litigation
resulting from Agency involvement in the use of experimental
drugs is fully resolved. In view of this request, Subject's
file should not be destroyed without checking with the
Chief or Deputy Chief, Security Analysis Group and/or the
