On Tuesday 26 January 1954, SI and H experimentation and research

The evening's session opened with a standard slow type induction which
was heald held for a considerable period of time in an effort to produce
greater depth in all persons present. Immediately after, all-subjects -
were awakened and another induction was run again making every effort to
obtain greater depth. During this test each aubject was instructed to
open her eyes and appear normal but remain in a deep trance state. .All
subjects succeeded in obtaining this depth without effort. In view of
the above successful testing, a thrid induction was run--this time via
the telephone and using code words. In this test, all subjects were
successfully inducted and wrote a brief statement while under hypnosis
and still talking on the telephone and then carried out a series of
activities including walking, moving about, etc. while still under full
hypnosis and then passing into a deep sleep state without additional
instruction.
For matter of record, numerous post-hypnotic suggestions were tried in
connection with the above work and tests for depth were tried. All
successful. As a special test on the subjects, all were given a simple
post-hypnotic command for the next session. This PH was as soon as the
subjects enter the operations room and seat themselves, they will immedi-
ately pass into a sleep state.
