TO Chief, Mir --
Suggested Indirect
-Subject:/ Action against Denoncia ---------
- -,-.._ -,
1. The attached reports from AMCArTTER/1 indicate that
Pedro Leyva, allegedly a paid employee of AMDUD, is the brains
behind an anti-Datista publication named Denuncia, and that
AMWD/1 took the trouble to state to AMIliTTER/1 that'he; AM1iVD/1;---
_ _ _ . . . _ _ _ _
had nothing to do with the paper.
2. AMPUD/lis eoncermr-on the matter may have stemmed
;
-from the fact that on page 8 of the 17 October issue of Penuncia--
there was an axxeseavat article which exposed IMarektavibmirwryt -
41.1041, Darquer and Joaquin Sanjenis as agents of the CIA.
----------
3. Concerned case officers in PW and FI Sectionsa_as well
as Chief PM, who is preturbed.about the mention in the same para-
graph of Manuel Villanfana, feel that if it can be ascertained
that an employee of AMID is connected with Denuncia, his pay
. _
should be terminated summarily as an example to anyone elsa
_ _ _ _ _ . . _ _ _ _ _ _ - - - -- --
who might trg decide that such activity will be countenanced
by OOYOKE.
4. It is suggested, therefore, that the matter be taken up
with AMMO/1 soonest, and that a thorough investigation be made
by AMBUD-of the alleged extra-curricular activities of Leyva,
and if results confirm suspicions, his services be terminated.
