Subject has been under interrogation by CIA personnel in a
CIA safehouse.
Audio surveillance and Subject's own demands for money
� indicate that he has valuable information, such aser=itg,
in the U�3A and abroad, 'that.
he is withholding. A 1 thou gh various methods of inducing
Subject to give his in.formation voluntarily have been tried.

niques axe continuing, it appears thAt use of special interro-
gation techniques will be required in the near future at the
CIA safehouse that is guarded by personnel of the Office
� of Security.
2. Subject appears to be physically fit. His consump-
tion of alcoholic beverages, which was high, has been cut,
down considerably under the guidance of an Ao-encv physician. At
the time of his defection
Subject had hallucinations and gave other indications of
:severe ernodonal distrubance.
