SUBJECT: Report of Trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Detroit, Michigan,
for ARTICHOKE Purposes -- 16 through 19 December 1952.
1. Between 16 December 1952 and 19- December 1952, the writer visited
ninneapolis, Minnesota, and Detroit, Michigan, in connection with possible
future work in regard to%the ARTICHOKE Project.
2. In more specific detail, the reasons for the trip were as fol-
lows:
I. In Minneapolis.
A. To talk with

in regard to narco-
analysis, use of "truth serums", and related
matters.
B. To ascertain -present and future
interests in ARTICHOKE-type work and to ascertain
if -- would be interested in being a.

II. At Detroit.
A. To renew discussions with

have developed from previous discussions along
AaTICHOKZ lines concerning cov:a., operations,
details, names, etc. in connection with a
possible future program of experimentation And
research.

3. On 16 and 17 December 1952, the writer engaged in a series of '
discussions with conc=ing the above mentioned
topics. _ statements or answers to perlinent questions are
set out below in substance. This method is-used to clarify and shorten
explanations.
