1. In a series of meetings with repreieltatives of the interested
offices, it hz.s been determined that there is a need for a small testing
facility within CIA for use in connection vith Project Artichoke. The
est..blishment of this facility an the activ4t4zs connected th.erewith,
have teen assigned the unclassified cede wordr 1, The purpose.
of this facility is to enable us to conduct a series of tests to Pe�
termite means of improving our ability to detect eeciution on the part
of individuals. '

2. The administration of the facility end the direction of testing
will be the responsilility of TSS. The act-aml tests to be coneucted
and the materials to be used will be reviewed and :).7.roved 17 Le.S and
the CIA Medical Officer prior to initiation of specific projects.
