formal incorporation of East Berlin
into the GDR next fall.
b. In preparing for the fall
elections of the East German parlia-
ment, East German politicians ap-
parently anticipate that the member-
ship of the Parliament is to be in-

c. Incorporation of East
Berlin, following the abolition of
the Soviet commandant's office in
East Berlin last August, would re-
move the last vestige of four-power
responsibility for the whole of
Berlin,

can do with the Chinese to remedy
the situation in Laos.

Indonesia
a. Saleh has postponed "for
the time being" the implementation
of Regulation 18 limiting operations
of foreign oil companies.
b. In Tokyo, negotiations be-
tween representatives of Caltex and
?Standvac and Indonesian officials
continues.
c. At Present the situation
appears to be breaking rapidly and
favorably on the basis of more real-
istic understanding by Saleh of what
is actually at stake for Indonesia.

A. Peru AA leader Victor Raul Haya is confident
he willwin the 9 June presidential election
B. Italy Christian Democrat Aldo Moro is still op-

/Neither side has made any concessions in
two days of consultations.
C. USSR-Iraq the
Soviets have agreed to replace surface-to-air mis-
sile equipment in Iraq with tanks and other heavy
conventional weapons commensurate. in value.
D. British Guiana Hope for a strike settlement has
? been raised by the Jagan government's acceptance
of all amendments to the Labor Relations Bill pro-
posed by the Trades Union Council. The end is not
in sight, however, since other major problems exist.
E. Yugoslavia Tito is making tentative plans to visit
the UN this fall in connection with a tour of Latin
America.
F. North Korea The new accidental US overflight of
North Korea on 29 May will probably complicate tile
negotiations for the return of the helicopter pilots
who were captured two weeks ago,
G. Cuba Although there was some cloud cover at Artemisa,
Milan, and Torrens, Tuesday's photography showed
that there was no apparent change in facilities and
equipment at the four camps and Torrens headquarters.
Only Artemisa was photographed on Wednesday and no
change was noted.
