ordered a buildup of units whose mission
would be the deep penetration of the
"enemy's internal positions" and the
destruction of "the evil Ranger units."

by Algerian rebel vice-premier Ben
Bella and some 4,000 other Algerian

b) Although Algerian representatives
had indicated to US diplomats, in
Tunis and New York, that this issue
would not affect the present exchanges
and that substantial progress had been
made, Ben Bella has now been forcibly
hospitalized. The French fear that
his death would lead to the collapse
of the talks.

Afghanistan in October, is enroute to Morocco, presumably as the
Soviet representative at the ceremonies commemorating the late
King Mohammed's restoration to power in 1955.
