plying the North Vietnamese with non-
military goods.

The first\big Communist demonstra-
tion in downtown Hong Kong since early
July was dispersed by the police on
Saturday with little difficulty. Along
the border with China, the situation
eased slightly over the weekend despite
continuing propaganda demonstrations and
a minor shooting incident on the Chinese
side.
African nationalist groups based in
Zambia have stepped up their efforts
against the ruling whites in Rhodesia
and South Africa. In recent days Rho-
desian security forces have suffered
some casualties in clashes with infil-
trating guerrilla bands from Zambia.
The threat to the Rhodesian and
South African regimes is nonexistent at
this stage/
