A. In a move to reduce the refugee flow and increase the labor
pool, East German police have orders to seize identity cards
of all East Germans who work in West Berlin unless they
quit their jobs.
B. Further evidence of bloc support for Gizenga--Communist China
has installed a charg?'affaires in Stanleyville.
C. Sudanese Premier Abboud, just returned from a visit to Moscow,
was impressed with Khrushchev and with Soviet industrialization
but criticized the living standard of Soviet Moslems and felt
that Soviet attempts to convince him that religious freedom
existed in the USSR were staged. He invited Khrushchev and
President Brezhnev to visit the Sudan, with date to be set later.
D. A Brazilian mission is prepared to go to Cuba lo begin trade nego-
