Under the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. subsection 552, I am requesting information or
records on Kemal Aygun, a Turkish bureaucrat who was assigned to multiple positions during the rule
of the Democrat Party between 1950 and 1960. Among many of his assignments, he was head of the
General Security Administration and head of the Istanbul regional administration (Istanbul Belediye
Reisi). He was also put on trial with President Celal Bayar and Prime Minister Adrian Menderes in
after the May 1960 coup.
