30 September 2008 and is submitted pursuant to direction
dated 17 July 2008 from the Director of National
Intelligence and the Chairman of the Intelligence Oversight
Board (IOB) and the accompanying "Criteria on Thresholds for
Reporting Intelligence Oversight Matters."
During this reporting period, the Central
Intelligence Agency (CIA) Office of Inspector General (OIG)
learned of no CIA intelligence activities that were
potentially unlawful or contrary to executive orders.or
Presidential directives. The OIG did file five reports with
the Attorney General or his designee'pursuant to the
Memorandum of Understanding on Reporting of Information
Concerning Federal Crimes, none of which directly involved
illegal intelligence activities.
