Pointer General Counsel President's Intelligence Advisory Board New Executive Office Building Washington, D.C. 20503 ___ This report covers the period from 1 April - 30 June 2008 and is submitted pursuant to direction dated 17 July 2008 from the Director of National Intelligence and the Chairman of the Intelligence Oversight Board (IOB) and the accompanying "Criteria on Thresholds for Reporting Intelligence Oversight Matters." During this reporting period, the Central Intel igI ence Agency (CIA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) learned of no CIA intelligence activities that were potentially unlawful or contrary to executive orders or Presidential directives. The OIG did file 11 reports with the Attorney General or his designee pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding on Reporting of Information Concerning Federal Crimes, none of which directly involved illegal intelligence activities. This report does not incorporate reports filed with th' e Attorney General, or his designee, by CIA components other than the OIG. Report required by Section 17 o the CIA Act of 1949, as amended, covering the activities of the OIG during the period 1 January - 30 June 2008. Pointer Semiannual Report includes summaries of a number of OIG investigative efforts that involve intelligence activities, which may be of interest to the Board: Another matter included in the Semiannual Re ort, Irregularities in Contracting , involves alleged criminal violations by a former senior CIA official.
