JOURNAL
OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Wednesday - 11 October 1.972 ,
2. I I Met with Pat Holt, Consultant, Senate
Foreign Relations Committee, who told me the new Senate Multinational
Corporation Subcommittee is not planning any hearings on any subject
until after the beginning of the new Congress. He said they have progressed
rapidly -:however, : into rather voluminous areas. The overall Committee
review of the multinational corporations at present is viewed as a project
of some three to four years duration. The ITT hearings on ITT Corporation
activities in Chile will probably receive somewhat more press play than
the more important broad objectives of the Subcommittee but should be of
relatively short duration. No hearings on this matter are contemplated
until after the beginning of the next Congress. Mr. '= Division,
has been advised.

Assistant to Senator Howard Baker (R. , Tenn.), concerning arrange-
ments for his scheduled meeting with the Advanced Intelligence Seminar
on Wednesday, 18 October, at 2:00. Mr. Mosbacher said he would arrange
for a room and we discussed some of the subjects which he could cover
which would be of interest to the class.
