Mr. Chester C. Crawford is hereby awarded the Career
Intelligence Medal in recognition of his exceptional achievement
for more than 23 years with the Central Intelligence Agency. As
a senior security officer, Mr. Crawford played a major role
in the establishment and success of the Agency's polygraph program.
His excellent reputation in this activity has been a major factor in other
Government agencies seeking guidance in establishing similar programs.
Mr. Crawford's technical knowledge, administrative skill and ability to
work well with others have been characteristics that he has demonstrated
throughout his praiseworthy career, reflecting credit on him and the
Federal service.
