SUBJECT: Commendation - Case No. 7.
Dear Chet:
I desire to take this opportunity to forward my personal
commendation to you for your major part in the conduct of
Case No. 7 The professional techniques of interrogation
which were developed by you in this case are, Bethink, a
variation which are particularly applicable in handling
subjects of this type. They required professional com-
petence not only in the polygraph, but in the whole gamut
of interrogation methods and further required a thorough
background knowledge of both security and counter-intelligence
practices.
Again, the case required the closest coordination of the
efforts of practically every component of the Security Office.
This teamwork principle was admirably demonstrated in
this instance and is a source of great satisfaction to the
Director and myself.
I am requesting the Chief, Security Division to insert
a copy of this letter in your Personnel File. My congratulations
to you.
