According to a representative of Georal, one of the company's security door systems is currently being tested and certified for use by the Department of State. Because of the CIA's interest in keeping abreast of current developments with respect to both existing and emerging security products, we have asked that Georal advise the Agency once the report of the final test results has been completed. CIA will then request a copy of that report from Georal or the Department of State, as appropriate. (Copy enclosed A) On May 3, 2001 Georal did a formal presentation'to the CIA staff including and CIA consultants. This meeting went extremely well especially with regards to our ballistics and forced-entry capabilities. Georal was told that a laundry list would be sent to us with additional CIA specific needs - Today 6 months later we have had no response from the CIA. We have been in business since 1Q82 providing secure access for government and commercial facilities not only in the United States. but also abroad. Of potential interest to you is that we have a GSA number (#GS-07F-0433K) and a patent pending (#601104, 874) with an international patent application (#US 99/03218) for our product. The door is the only security door approved by the FAA for egress and the U.S State Department for domestic use In order to certify the doors for international use by their agency the U S. State Department has scheduled two additional tests for next month. Attached for your convenience is a brief product statement. There has been no change in the project. The customer has not done anything about funding the requirement or looking at options. They are waiting for the tenant to come up with money for the architectural review before anything-goes forward.
