The office of the Information and Privacy Coordinator has received your
10 March 2006 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for:
"a copy of the intelligence assessment written by Paul Pillar
two months before the U.S. invaded Iraq. This assessment was
previously requested by Mr. David Martin of CBS News."
We have assigned your request the reference number above. Please use this number
when corresponding so that we can identify it easily.
As you are aware, we received an earlier request for the same record. We will
send you the same CIA-originated record, if it is released, once that request has been
completed. Because of our backlog, I cannot say with certainty when that will be.
Based upon the information provided in your letter, we determined that your
request falls into the "all other" fee category, which means that you will be required to
pay only for the cost of reproducing released records. You will be assessed for
document copies at the rate of ten cents per page for pages in excess of the first 100, to
which you are entitled free.
We will contact you again once the processing of the original request is
completed.
