US House of Representatives establishes a Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, chaired by Representative Edward P. Boland (D-MA). This committee differs from the Senate version in that it has sole oversight jurisdiction over the CIA but shares responsibility for legislative oversight for all other intelligence agencies with several other House committees.
