About the Job
As a Global Response Staff (GRS) Special Agent for CIA, you will support various operations around the world at the direction of the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. You will routinely deploy worldwide to perform sensitive operations in support of requirements to defend our nation from those that try to do us harm.
You will be expected to be team leaders and program managers, supporting Agency operations globally. As a professional, you will take on demanding responsibilities, maintain accountability for results, and accept personal risk. GRS Special Agents spend a large portion of their careers serving numerous short term deployments in a variety of overseas environments.
Further, you are required to successfully complete specialized training while demonstrating a high level of character and maintaining your physical readiness in order to prepare for service in a wide variety of environments, including austere and hazardous locations.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Extensive military, intelligence, or law enforcement experience, preferably in a military special operations unit(JSOC,SEAL, SF, PJ, MARSOC, Force Recon, Ranger Regiment, etc.), or as a full time SWAT or undercover officer, as well as experience in protective operations, such as a DoD Field Security Agent. A minimum of six (6) years combined experience is required
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at time of appointment
- Physically fit and in good overall medical and emotional condition
- Must be able to work overtime, night shifts, holidays and weekends, and frequently travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to tactfully negotiate conflict and remain flexible
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to brief, defend, persuade, and instruct others on security requirements and policies
- Ability to professionally interact with all levels of CIA management, Department of Defense entities, and other Federal agencies
- High levels of integrity, trustworthiness, and loyalty to the United States
- Ability to successfully complete the Physical Fitness Test
- Willingness to serve in hazardous and austere environments
- Ability to serve in an armed status according to federal law
- Ability to meet the minimum requirements for joining CIA, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation
Desired Qualifications
- War Zone deployment experience, preferably in leadership positions
- Formal training and experience in Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT) or law enforcement equivalent
- Strong knowledge base in all facets of tactical and protective operations
- Served in multiple leadership and management positions
- Report writing experience
- Extensive medical experience (First Responder, 18D, Paramedic)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
